Original watercolour painting by Diana Fegredo
On a gloomy day in March it cheers me up to see the bunches of rainbow tulips as you go do the food shopping at the supermarket - they always find there way into my basket. Tulips can be a bit tricky I find, to capture the life of them. It is easier when they have done that magic thing of growing in the vase and the petals start to spring and have a life of their own.
The vase is a faceted glass jar that used to be my Grandparent's biscuit jar - my Nan was always a big softie when we visited and even gave us a biscuit with our morning cup of tea!
